7/19/09:
Congratulations to the Colorado Twirls athletes who worked so hard and did such a great job at the 2009 U.S. National Baton Twirling Championships and Festival of the Future, held July 13-18 in Tucson, Arizona. They competed with nearly 600 athletes from 21 states and brought home the following awards:
Colorado Twirls Salsa – 3rd place, Beg. Juv. Small Dance Twirl Team
Onika Baker, Alex Beresford, Cheyenne Burd, Ashlynn Courdin, Haley Lena, Madelaine Schmidt
Onika Baker – 2nd place Intermediate Presentation, 3rd place Advanced Presentation, 3rd place Intermediate 2-Baton, 4th place Beginner Strut, 6th place Beginner 2-Baton, 7th place Intermediate Strut, 8th place National Solo

Haley Lena – 2nd place in Intermediate Military, 3rd place in Beginning Presentation, 4th place in Intermediate Basic, and 5th place in Intermediate Solo
Madelaine Schmidt – 1st place in Beginning Solo, topping 22 other athletes! She also earned 1st place in Beginning Military and 2nd place in Beginning Presentation.

June 19-21, 2009
Hope you can make the 6th Summer Twirling Camp sponsored by the Colorado Baton Council. There will be a lot of learning, fun, and excitement in store for all those that attend. We are hoping to make this camp bigger and better than ever before! It will be necessary to have a minimum of 25 campers so pass the word to your friends to join you and get registrations in by MAY 1st
